If someone could please assist me, I have a question regarding moving my 921.
I received my 622 today, and I will be installing/activating it tomorrow, where my 921 is now. This part should be just plug/play.

Then, I want to move my 921 to the bedroom where my 811 currently is.
I will be removing a 301 on the patio, and the patio will become TV2 for the new 622.

My question is, can I use the present SAT feed to the patio 301, as the second feed for the 921 I'm moving to the bedroom, without making any connection changes at the switches?

If you would need to know my current setup to answer the question, it is:
    Dish500 - 110/119; Dish300 - 61.5
    2 DP34 switches
    -2 feeds to 921
    -1 feed to 811
    -1 feed to 301
    -1 feed to 301
    -1 feed to 301
    -2 feeds available
(all receivers currently receive all 3 SATs)

tia to anyone who can help.

Yes. The 921 requires two satellite feeds. Relocating the one for the 301 from the patio to the bedroom for the 2nd 921 feed should work fine.

You will have to make sure both feeds to the 921 are from the same DP34 switch and I believe they need to be on consecutive outputs. You may have to make some connection changes at the switch to accomplish this.

Thank you for the reply Mike,
I had posted a follow-up question about the order on the switches, but I guess someone here didn't like it, it was removed.
    Thanks again.

I don't see the post (and I can see deleted ones). Perhaps something hung up when you sent it?

Perhaps so, though I thought I went back to the thread a few minutes later, and it was posted.

Perhaps you would know, what is considered as consecutive on the DP34 switch.
    Consecutive = 1/2; 2/3; 3/4
    Not Consecutive = 1/3; 2/4
    is 1/4 or 4/1 consecutive?

I'd say 1/4 and 4/1 is not consecutive.

For anyone else doing this, I found out the 921 can accept its two feeds from any of the ports on either switch, at least on my configuration.
Mine ended up being fed from port 3 on switch 1, and port 1 from switch 2.
Turned it on and the programming came right up, without running a check switch.
A dish installer told me all of the ports are mirrors of each other, so it makes no difference which two you use. At least, that's what he said.

I have the same switches and will be making the same changes. The 622 will be going to where the 921 is in the living room and the 921 will go to the bedroom. I have two cascaded Dish Pro 34 switches. I have two coxes going into the bedroom feeding an 821 and 501. The 921 will take their place. Its good to know that the switch ports don't necessarily have to be consecutive on the 921 (if I have a problem it won't be difficult to change).
