I have two 622's, 2007 vintage. I have ehd capability on both. If I take an EHD from one machine to use on the other, it does not seem to work at all.

Am I doing something wrong or is this normal?

How do you mean "does not work at all"?

There's no reason that you can't share EHDs from one 622 to another 622 as long as they are both on the same account.

622 has second USB port, behind left front door - try it instead of rear connector

Did you disconnect the other EHD first?

When I plug the drive into the second machine, it acts like it has never been used and wants to reformat for use. Is the formatting specific to each machine?

Are both receivers on the same account? I would ask DIRT to send a hit to your box or chat in for help.

You might try a hard (power cord) reboot of the receiver.

I still haven't seen an answer to the most basic question... are both receivers activated on the same account?

AFAIK, both receivers must be on the same account. I believe the EHD fee need be paid only one time as it applies to the account rather than each drive.

You may need to have a DIRT member apply a hit to your system as mine required one before I could record to EHD.

PM a DIRT member and explain your situation.

    All the best,

    Michael Daly

NO fee for 622...913 models, only 211[k] and 411 still had the $40 one time fee.
