Is it possible to watch recorded shows from a 622 that is not connected to the dish?

I might be pulling my 622 out of service but would still like to watch the recorded shows on the DVR.

It may work for a time, but it will stop working at some point.

Unless you own the ViP622 it doesn't really matter as DISH Network will want it back.

I realize they will want it back. I am just looking for a week or so to finish watching some series's that are on the DVR.

First off, you need to disconnect it from the satellite and any network before you remove it from the account or they may be able to shut it off permanently. Also, you must not cut power to it or you may be done.

I don't think you can wait more than a week to send it back. Once you get the return box, you don't get a lot of time to dawdle.

I wasn't planning on removing from the account until I watched what I needed to watch.

Yes you can watch what is recorded on the DVR without it being conected to Dish. I had done this when my 622 died and they sent me a new one. I resurected the old 622 and watch what was recorded on it before I sent it back.:D
