99 (s) failed test, but...

    all my HR21's seem to work fine. Is this a concern?

    No, 99s is a spot beam SAT and if you are not close enough to a area using that SAT you will not pick up a signal from it.

    I wouldn't worry about anything on 99 until you hear from everyone around here that D11 is up and running, and even then you will want to look at 99c, not 99s....

    S stands for spotbeam, thus locals.

    So if your locals are not coming from 99, no worries about the signal from it.

    That's good to know.

    They should not label 99(s) "failed" though, that can cause confusion, in fact the DirecTV tech support concluded because of that label the receiver was bad, needed a replacement. I resisted because I never noticed anything wrong.
