A physical issue with the HR21

    just a quick update.. New box is running fine, not one lockup :)
    had some health issues over the weekend and didn't get over to fedex shipping.. will get there today..

    Yes, were both doing better, was a rough weekend tho..
    and Yes it's still on the same release as the last one..

    It was low on blinker fluid and the muffler bearings were shot. :lol:

    Do you think they'll release a root cause analysis to us? It would be good to know what caused it just because of the audience we are.

    I sent im my first HR21 because of over heating. Most likley mine was caused by an over heated hard drive, but I blieve that may be secondary to another hardware problem. From day one, my system temperature would not budge from 77deg. What ever was causing this was probalby the trigger for the over heating as the system never turned on the fan except to the first 5 seconds after power up. I guess we'll never know the exact cause.

    With such limited production units around, I'm sure you can just write off the one to a flawed device or flawed component and leave it at that. As long as you have a replacement working, life is good (although to RobertE's point), it would be great when we finally get an update to the firmware for further testing... :D

    Just an update:
    New one has been pretty good, had to reboot once and a few minor glitches..
    also I picked up a WB68 so it can now see 103b (can't miss out on new channels).. still stuck on one line tho and could use an upgrade to SWM8 :)
