Try adding nnot womens right after events. Otherwise, looks good, and yeah, the & is as the next poster mentions. :)

Yeah' that will cause issues if its anything like UCLA. He will get all kinds of post game shows and such. And often times games are on other RSNs you don't get and screws it up to because cig doesn't work right and that can cause game search to not work 100% of the time, which is why I use cchans as modifiers.

Events is a search term. ,the format you used has never failed me once. And I never use live. Always events. Live picks up pre and post game shows for me. Depends n how different channels code those shows, but they all code games as events, wether they are live or not.

For some reason when I tried that Wisconsin search, "events" didn't work and "live" did. I may have entered a typo without realizing it.

I won't tell you mad I was that I was missing lots of angles games at the start of the season one year, only to find I had spelled it wrong. ;)

Would it be WOMENS or WOMEN'S

I put an apostrophe when I set my NNOT as BTN shows lots of women's basketball.

I believe punctuation like that is ignored..can you even get an apostrophe?

I've found DirecTV search ignores punctuation, so "womens" finds "women's".

AALL michigan state events NNOT womens & SPORTS, BASKETBALL

When I set up the above, it also includes all University of Michigan games (which nobody wants to watch). How do I correct that?

Try removing the AALL and events. Then it should only match the exact phrase "michigan state". Use the category page to select events, since football is over for now.

So michigan state NNOT womens & SHOW TYPE, EVENTS

But won't that pick up hockey and baseball and all the other sports that air on the BTN and others?

edit: Yes, just tried that and it picks up hockey and wrestling and everything else.

Also figured out that my original search wasn't bringing up all UofM games, but only the games when UofM played someone with "State" in their title (i.e. Ohio State, Penn State, etc.). Not sure how to get around that.

You're limited to 50 characters, so you can say the following, which should work until baseball starts.

michigan state NNOT womens hockey wrestling & SHOW TYPE, EVENTS

Searching for the exact phrase "michigan state" fixes that. Haven't tried it, but search above should work.

OK. Just discovered an undocumented (AFAIK) feature! Try this search. use the dash key to get cycle through the special characters to get parentheses:

AALL (michigan state) events NNOT womens & SPORTS, BASKETBALL

    Works here.

That seems to work, as long as the BTN doesn't air the badminton or bowling championships.

Try the new one in post #57, with the parentheses.

    Bingo.

I was hoping there was a way to use quotes, and the parentheses seem to do just that.
