Ok, here is the FAQ I did for advanced searches, and then I just realized scott was going to do it. Hopefully you haven't already done one, other wise, maybe we should have a poll to see which to use? :D

UPDATED 5/18/2012 WITH NEW BOOLEAN OPTIONS

No poll necessary, your understanding is much better than mine.

I found a few things that need changing.

Page 1:
Title in header needs to be all caps.
I think Tivo needs to be TiVo in "Is it possible to create keyword...."
All references to DirecTv need to be DIRECTV (all caps)

Page 3:
FRIENDS TTILTE (spelling) TTITLE
(this will include both NCSI and NCSI: Loas Angeles, etc) spelling

Is it possible to make page 4 start at the "What are some basic tips to keep....." without adding a page? It may look nicer starting with a topic question

Overall this is a great job, I couldn't have done it any better.

Thank You!

A little more info:

CCHANN is being deprecated .. It may work now, but may not work in the future

CCHANS is the the same functionality as CCHANN

the rules for placement are outlined at the very top of the document, you need to use the order as shown. Some items are optional and enclosed in []
The rules for CCHANS reads as one number or two numbers, if two numbers are used it is considered a range.

Nice job, Jeff. Just a thought. In this section you might want to provide some examples, because this is a very handy feature, IMHO. You can save a lot of typing with it.
What if I don't use AANY or AALL in one of my searches?

When you don't use either of those modifiers at the start of a search string, then whatever words you use must be in the title or program description etc, in the exact order in which you entered them. Partial words are allowed.
E.g: how I me, all by itself, will match How I Met Your Mother. Similarly, all you need to type is bang t, if you want to match The Big Bang Theory.

PS: I found a couple of more typos in the examples on page 4: comdey, dinasouras. Also another CCHAN on page 5.

Jeff, Great job! On this page, my suggested changes are in red:

Here is an example of an advanced search that will pick movies that are considered both comedies and dramas and are not PPV.
AALL COMEDY DRAMA NNOT PPV CCAT & Movie
Here is an example of an advanced search that will pick up movies that are considered comedies OR romance OR musical OR drama and are on channel 501 thru 510
AANY COMEDY ROMANCE MUSICAL DRAMA CCHANS 501 510 & Movies
Here is an example of an advanced search that will pick up any show that has dinosaurs in the info/description of the show.
DINOSAURS AABOUT

I thought I made those changes and added them already. I'll double check, but I wonder if your seeing an old cached version or something.

Ahhh. Could be, but I still had the typos in whatever version I got.

I also bolded the BANG T search in that last line, to make it more consistent with the other examples.

Nope, your right. Weird. Maybe I screwed up the save or something. Not to mention, after I had completed everything, I did a spell check so word must have missed those errors too! What the heck!!!

I updated the first document again.
