I have a SuperDish (connect to 110, 119 and 121) and a Dish 500 (61.5) with a DPP44 switch. I have a question on what satellite I am using to get my SD locals from. I really do not know how the switch works and what the difference is from feed and dual.

On my switch the satellites look like this (in the menu under check switch).
    1 - 119 - feed
    2 - 110 - dual
    3 - 61.5 - dual
    4 - 121 - feed

121 was setup for my SD locals before my HD upgrade. As I understand my Providence SD locals are on 61.5 and 121. My signal strength is better on 61.5 then 121.

With this current setup am I getting my SD locals on 61.5 or 121?

    Thanks,
    Ken

I think you can tune to the channel and then hit menu, 6,1,1 and it will show the current satellite and transponder that it is tuned to.

I had thought they were shifting locals from 121 and 61.5 to 110. Unless customers have internationals, the 121 is obsolete. On the 121 Superdishes, the 121 LNB and 119 LNB are housed together. The 110 LNB (which is a Dish Pro Dual) is mounted externally of the 119 and 121 housing. The 61.5 LNB is exactly the same as the 110 LNB.

how much do you want to know.

Some basic info is on www.dishnetwork.com especially techportal.

Some very good info can be found at many sites pointed at on the DBSTALK.com main page.

Dish uses BROADCOM chips and some good info on these can be found on http://www.Broadcom.com

You want to go really deep some electonic books can be identified.
