That is what I was going to recommend you do, the reviews for that telco provider (dare I say the name?) are very very poor. I think you will be much happier with TWC for internet. ;)

Something may be changing. I haven't read up on all the reasons but comcrap in my area is now giving us higher download and upload speeds while keeping us on the same packages and prices. I pay for 25 megs down but usually get around 33 with my DOCSIS 3 setup. Tested my connection a day or two ago and I'm getting 65 megs down and 11 megs up. No noticeable difference with online gaming but download speeds have greatly been increased.

I wish TWC serviced my area, i heard good reviews on them. I'd even take Comcast. I have MediaCom and somehow they are always having service outages and no use trying to get a time without service credit because their system can only handle so many callers at a time. lol go figure

Of course it HAS happened, I'm just saying that seems to be the ONLY excuse they know to use.

btw, my Directv installer is an amazing person, a retired businessman with multi million dollar projects going on who does this to keep busy. We talked the whole time he was here. Fascinating guy. And the Windstream guy was really nice. I hated to tell him I cancelled.

As far as Directv, I'm really pleased with the pq. It's a pleasure getting through Big Bang Theory without missing a joke because the picture and sound freezes up every few minutes. Genie is pretty cool, haven't really used it much yet but the whole house thing is sweet. Can't wait for TV Apps to finish downloading so I can play with those.

I have taken multiple complaint calls on installers not showing up and that reason is actually rare. And I've worked there several years. Their favorite excuse is probably can not locate house and im like call the customer maybe? lol

Awesome to hear. As imagined, most people get hung up on the negative aspects so it's nice to hear some positive feedback. After the 24 hour period is up definitely get your fill of the On Demand features as well. You get so much from them with the premium channels.

Thanks, but I'm not clear on what you mean by the 24 hour period. You mean the time it takes for everything to download, right? Yeah, everything is set now as far as On Demand, the youtube app, and the tv apps (very disappointing. I only installed the My MLB Team app). But then I didn't order directv to play with apps :) Still playing with everything and enjoying it very much!
