DirecTV nowadays negotiate online rights with providers for the TV Everywhere platform in conjunction with carriage agreements. I hope that is the case otherwise beIN SPORT is talking about $19.99/month for online access by itself.

One thing I have concern with is that D* had a history of providing supplemental coverage of La Liga matches. Whatever wasn't on ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes, or GOLTV could be found in the 480 channel range and were very beautiful raw feeds, just the crowd noise and no announcers with relevant in-game graphics. I actually credit DirecTV for getting me into La Liga since it wasn't likely I would have watched anywhere else.

That will likely cease to exist unless D* could strike some sort of deal to continue said coverage. I've recommended that whatever matches that won't be shown live on beIN SPORT should be shown on D*. Now since there is a lot under one belt to undertake between La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1, carrying at least the matches involving clubs in the Champions and Europa leagues in the first half of the season, and then those in contention thereof in the other half plus the major derbies would be a decent starting point.

Unless beIN is planning on creating additional channels, I seriously doubt they could make good on their investment with a limited amount of games shown live in relation to all that has been acquired.

It has plenty of rugby to show, along with the SPL, which attracts the same amount of viewers as a Championship match. Just don't buy Oliver's "insider" scoops.

FS+ wasn't worth the extra $$ before, it certainly is worth even less now..

This may just be wishful thinking on my part or a glitch on their website. I went to beinsport.tv to do my daily request for the channel through their "Find be IN sport on your tv" link. When I plugged in my zip code it would always show the three providers in my area.. DTV, Dish, and TWC. I noticed today that it only shows TWC as an option. Perhaps they have struck a deal for carriage? Heck, maybe something is just screwed up on their site too. Guess we'll see!

This could be a good sign...I just checked my zip code and the same thing happened.

Edit...I just checked their Facebook page and it it no longer accepts Directv or Dish as an input either...hmmmm

    Somewhere...
I'm not surprised based on the fact that it has been said that they are willing to pay providers to carry their channels.

And perhaps it was just a mistake. It's been changed back to include the local cable provider (TWC) and all satellite providers.

We will see. One post without posting credentials doesn't engender faith.

Mine switched to showing ALL possible providers, most of which don't service my zip code. Let's hope that the 'mistake' was Bein letting the secret out before Directv or Dish had a chance to announce anything. Wishful thinking...
