I am running out of between floor coax and am wondering if I can use the same coax to send AND receive. Specifically I want to use diplexers to separate VHF (the channel 3 RF modulated signal being sent out of my receiver) travelling one direction with the satellite travelling the other (the inbound satellite feed). Obviously I have a cental coax wiring location where I will split the channel 3 signal off to send it to another TV...

Maybe I should draw a picture... Or do you understand what I am trying to do??

Using Diplexers would be fine for this.

take the channel 3 output into the off air side of the diplexor and the sat side goes into your sat input on the receiver, back at your central wiring pt. the sat side goes to your lnb or switch and the off air goes to your backfed TV and your done
