I didn't do anything. :) Sometimes people complain at the right place and it gets noticed by the right people.

Yeah i heard back from DirecTv a few days ago. They forwarded my concearns ahead to the Sports Programming Team. Hopefully No More Cardinals Blackouts or the team they are playing Against Blackouts in my area. All in all there were a total of 2 games before the All-Star Break My Area Missed. One Game Against Houston, One Against The Chicago Cubs on Wednesday & Thursday of Last Week. All should be good from here on out.

Was the 'right place' here or the email he sent to Ellen Filipiak's office?

Considering where the OP got the email address, "here" was the right place regardless.

Glad to hear a success story. Over the years I've been discouraged about blackout cases like this and how rare things actually get resolved. More often than not, the result of investigation is that the new blackouts are legitimate (for one reason or another) and that the customer can do nothing about it. Even when they aren't legitimate, the customer is often left with no recourse. A shame, but that's how things are.

Though I'd like to hope the OP won't have any more issues, my gut tells me he will have to deal with this again. Blackout issues have a tendency to repeat themselves over time, because those in charge of blackouts tend to make the same mistakes. At least it appears to have been a mistake at this point (it did not make sense to me for a blackout zone to expand mid-season).

I did e-mail the office of the address i was given on this forum. As i have stated in previous posts, my area has always been able to watch St. Louis Cardinals Ballgames. All of a sudden None of their Feeds were available starting middle of the week before the All-Star Break. I have looked at the Cardinals Press Releases on their website and there hasn’t been any news about them expanding into my area making my area part of their Local Broadcast territory. Now why are they able to claim blackouts in my area on ESPN, TBS, & MLB Network if they are considered “Out Of Market” how is that possible?

dvdmth says “his gut tells him that my area may have more blackout problems in the future” My area should have never been blacked out from a Cardinals game to begin with and even if the Cards did make my area part of their territory i should have received their coverage from Channel 671. So yeah there still is going to be a problem whenever St. Louis plays on TBS or ESPN. My area isn’t suppose to be blacked out from that national coverage.
