It is to happen on December 1, 2004.

Don't have a link. Story in HDTV Magazine.

Could be some "compelling content" then.

    YES!!!

This is what they all need to do!!!

TNT HD should be "Turner HD", and there should be "Viacom HD" and so on. This is a step in the right direction.

I guess I don't understand, why do they all need to do this, do what exactly?

    Is Bravo changing their name?

Bravo is not changing their name.

Bravo HD+ is not the same content as Bravo. So, they are renaming Bravo HD+ to Universal HD and bringing content to it from all of Universal's properties.

The suggestion for the others is proposing a way to possibly get more HD content to them as well.

thats a great idea. It's like instead of many HD channels that only have two or three actual HD shows on, each conglomerate company (Universal, Turner, Viacom...) make one channel where they show all of their HD shows 24/7

I think it's an excellent idea. The fact that they'll have access to a lot more content makes it very interesting. I'm looking forward to it.
