So I still have "The Bucket List", but Mission Impossible and The Bank Job are now goine.

Does anyone remember what the kill date is on The Bucket List?

When I check the VOD list online I don't see any special notation for 1080P. How do you know which movies are 1080P?

It works with MY sound system with the build in HDMI switch but the menu test is too quick for it to sync up in time. HDMI to the tv with out the sound system works 100%

That explains how when I deleted a 1hr SD show my space went from 47% or so available to 55% available. I'm sure it was 54% before I deleted the show, just the last time I looked The Bank Job was still there.

Direct tv may want to have MRV and 1080P at the same time but 1080p will be big news not a small thing.

DirecTV is still touting that they will be offering 1080p movies by the end of the year (2008). See "DIRECTV will begin offering movies in 1080p, the highest resolution format available for HD video enthusiasts and the same format used by Blu-Ray HD DVDs" at http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPage.jsp?assetId=P4800004. They have only a week left to make good on this promise.

I was very optimistic after viewing The Bucket List in 1080p. Wonder why the delay. Is it the lack of 1080p/60Hz compatibility? Or possible degradation of the content when viewed at 1080i?

FWIW, some of Showtime on Demand's offerings are 1080p, but are not labeled as such.

It would be nice if the movies they put in the Movies Now folder were in 1080p, let the box down rez to 1080i or 720p if the set can't do 1080p. At least that way folks don't have to wait for a HD DoD download for a movie.
