HD will be passe and we will be on to QuadHD :icon_lame:beatdeadhorse:
It's been explained in many ways in many threads why this is a super slow rollout.
And, yes, the horse by the watering hole is very dead, and bruised to hell with the beatings.
Does it matter if you're leaving?
I couldn't wait and left for FiOS October 1. I've had an HD Guide since then.
Oh Goody, Now we can have Horse Pate on Crackers!!!
Of course, if you were a Member of the CE Testing Group, wouldn't you already have it???
Guys, I'm going to leave this thread as the one and only "I don't have HDUI" thread. Any other threads will be deleted, and if this one gets rude, it will go too.
Well, OK, I'll try not to be rude... Is crude OK??
I still don't have it, but I believe that I heard reports that the snail that is delivering it on a one by one basis, has indeed nearly crossed the Nevada state line...
I know, I know. There is slow and then there is HD rollout slow.
I had Uverse installed yesterday and I am comparing it with DIRECTV for a month.
I think the Time Warner Whole Home DVR rollout is slower. Started coming out in February and still not available in all markets.
Rollouts also typically move from west to east...and you cant get that much farther east...patience is a virtue...give it a shot.
I'm in Oregon and no signs of the update so far. I say this only because I've seen multiple posts about West to East. If that's the case, I don't think this update will ever complete if it hasn't made it to Western Oregon yet.
Congrats on your first post!
Yes, previous rollouts have been west to east. I think this one will be market by market, and as far as which markets... I don't fathom the logic but I'm sure there is some.
I've waited patiently ... but I'm getting impatient. I live in California, so the whole "west to east" scenario doesn't hold water. I have several HD receivers, and none are updated yet.
I have a friend who installs for Directv, he's had the new GUI for months. I know he only got it because he's a "tester", but I WANT MINE!!!! Plus, he gets everything for free (employee benny) while I'm forking out over $200 a month.
I wonder if part-timers get free tv too? I might have to get a gig.
To my knowledge you need to be a full-time non-contract employee to get free service.
Had an installer in my home last week and he doesn't have the HDGUI.
Installers who are not employees haven't received it.
yet, Orlando got it. :nono2:
Where do you see that?
