Cable in going to out on splitter?

I'm trying to figure out the cabling here. My receiver in the living room has two coax cables coming in from the dish. I don't think this cabling was changed. One of these cables is going to the in from swm on the splitter, but the other is going to one of the outs.

Is there a reason for this? Also DirecTV is coming back out to install another DECA for Internet. Would we take the cable plugged into the out and put it on the Internet DECA (I'll have a net connection there.)

The only box in the room is one receiver, I have an HR20-100 upstairs, but there are two cables there, one disconnected, from the old setup. I guess I don't get the cable going back out to the dish. The other out goes to the power injector.
