Caller ID and the H21?

    Does anyone see the "null" Caller ID bug in the H21? All of my D1x receivers have it (even the D12 with the latest version). I know that I will ultimately replace all of my D1x receivers so I am trying to see if DTV has this working in the H21. BTW, my R15 and HR20 never had the bug. Actually the HR20 had it during a CE cycle a while back but reverting to the NR removed it and the latest CEs don't have the bug.

    The "Null" caller ID bug:

    When Caller ID notification is turned on, the windows pops up with "null" caller 2 times per hour. In the caller id listing, these tend to show as call all happening on April 22.

    There seems to be a correlation to a telco providing some combination of DSL and or Message waiting and possibly Receiver grounding. BTW, Message Waiting Indicator is sent by the telco every 30 minutes.

    My R15 and HR20 do not suffer from this and I have moved my R15 to the spots where my D1x unit are installed to see if it was the phonoe line at that spot. It wasn't

    Thanks - I never had that bug on my D10 or HR20.

    Milominderbinder2- are you out there? I know you had this bug...

    Yes, I did have this problem on the HR20.

    A lot of us felt like we were almost under attach with Null CID messages every 30 minutes on the HR20 several releases ago.

    It was like clockwork. No other CID enabled phone or receiver showed these phantom callers.

    Then a new release came and the 30 minute caller went away.

    I have never had this bug on the H21.

    All of the D1x (10, 11, 12) receivers have the bug and I was checking to see if the H21 has it. This is good to hear that the H21 does not appear to have it.

    I don't have the problem on my D11. Nor on my H21.

    I haven't had any problems w/ CID on my H21 either.

    If you don't have problem with your D1x receivers do you have voice mail provided by your Telco? and if so, do they send message waiting indicator every 30 minutes?

    No, I don't have voicemail with Verizon.

    No voicemail- phone service through verizon (with DSL).
