Its most likely a backhaul feed as its an away game. The Edmonton game is a home game.
I hope that Chicago get's a HD feed on the 22
http://www.csnchicago.com/ontv Lists plus in HD feed after the cubs game. Directv guide lists plus 2 (sd only)
Well, that Flames HD feed was, in fact, too good to be true.
SD only on 773...
HD for Habs/Jets (TSN) on 779-1... please lose, Jets... Rangers clearly can't do it themselves...
Looks like a "regular feed" with commercials and all. Cool.
Wasn't the last time we had a TSN HD feed when the Habs played the Jets? Must be a unique situation that allows DTV to get the broadcast...
TSN Jets & Habs feeds are on same satellite as Rogers Sportnet Ontario. Shaw Direct has been using some DTV HD feeds for NHLCI, so maybe they worked out reciprocal agreement
CSN Philly tonight... isn't that unusual?
I'm just guessing but it was probably because the Sens Flyers game was a regional HNIC game.
but it wasnt the CBC feed it was the CSN Philly feed ... Well no need for D* to keep extra space open for NBA or NHL at this point no tennis or golf currently ...so we should be seeing CSN Philly and SNET (BlueJays) feeds heck they could even give us CSN houston feeds for Baseball... the NHL never has this luxury (no other sports packages going on simultaneously) except very very early in their regular season before the NBA starts. Almost zero games are unavailable in HD in MLB and very very few are in NHL we have it pretty good here with our sports packages ...I noticed the other day (Thursday maybe?) there was zero MLB available in HD on inDemand (or whatever the cable companies call it) as the NHL was eating up all 9 HD channels and MLB had zero room for HD games (4 or 5 channels of SD feeds only)
Still have added RSN overflow needs for round 1 of NBA and NHL playoffs.
No NBCSN alternate... that's weird... had it previous years... and the early/late games will surely overlap.
Yep, I hope they do and there's an uproar. DirecTV really needs to improve their sports programming.
Ducks/Detroit game will start on NHL US network as Minn/Chicago goes into overtime.
Looks like NBC is going to need alternate channels on many of their games. First two games -- both going into OT.
I love the playoffs.
Oddly, NHLN is blacked out for me.
Edit: I'm in Indiana and FS Detroit and FS West are also blacked as neither is my RSN.
Still wish DTV had the NBCSN Alt feed... no dirty tickers and NHL net graphics.
Probably easier for them to use a channel that already exists (NHLN) maybe even use MSNBC if needed.
Yea, but it is going to be a pain to get the recordings correct. Especially since their plan is to move the Wings/Duck game from NHLN to NBCSN when the Wild/Blackhawks game ends. So here I sit with three screens watching the games.
