    Not entirely. They had to release how this impacts their financial performance for the year. The current estimate is this will reduce their earnings by 10cents per share this year. (I didn't look to see how big a percentage that is.)

    That seems like a small hit, but doesn't take into account future impact on sales, hence earnings. Jay Leno, for one, is a hit man on Carnival. Almost every show there's a negative reference in the opening monologue.

    Yep, business as usual, sold out. Some may have booked just to say they were on the ship of horrors, but I bet it will continue to sell out.

    The funny thing about all this is that I kept hearing what a great time this is to book a cruise because fares are down due to the negative incidents in the news the past few monthns. Well I keep checking the prices and as far as I can tell they've never really changed. All I can figure is that there's probably a lot of people out there that have no real clue how much cruises usually cost so when they hear in the news how the price has dropped they just assume it's true and book themselves a cruise thinking that they must've gotten a great deal.
