Well, I would rather that they did not blur out the nipple slips!!
I don't believe that. When low budget (relatively speaking) PBS, Discovery, and National Geographic can get HD equipment on location, it boggles the mind to be asked to believe that a prime time top rated network show cannot.
Yes, I think everyone should have to see that. It would stop many of the pretenders that go on the show then spend the first 3 days crying about how hard it is..... after 3 days! :hurah:
Yeah I love that. Hey I'm going to be on survivor! I think I'll wear a real tight skirt, small tee and no bra. Uh OH now it's raining, I've never been in the rain before, I'm cold, Boooo Hoooo! :crying: I wanna go home.
Yeah, sure, why not? It's not like I can smell them if they shoot in HD
Dirty Jobs dumped like 5 of them in the lake in one show!
the only two that are broadcast in HD are American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.
That would be nice!
They're not using it for Sunday Ticket, as there are one or two games each week that are still in SD!
You guys don't like reading all the replies do you?
At some point in time someone at CBS will start to figure out...that not broadcasting in HD is costing them viewers. Although, judging from some of the management moves of that company it may take a long, long time.
Exactly. What they should do is shoot it in all in HD and then muck with stuff during editing. Keep the aspect ratio, but lower the resolution down to SD on the closeups. Those shows are so hyper edited anyway. Or better yet, on all the closeups you could have hot super model stand ins. A whole new line of work, instead of stunt doubles, reality TV closeup stand ins.
You guys are all forgetting about Geek to Freak with Dennis Rodman that aired in HDTV on HDNet. That was the best reality show ever, especially in HD. I wonder if there will be a second season.
Although the previous seasons have not been HD the picture has been excellent in digital SD.
This first episode was HORRIBLE as far as pic quality...extremely soft and washed out.
Hey relax I finally just got an hd tv so I never kept up on this stuff before. Thanks for the smart ass comment though.
Yeah, I would believe that. Most of the people on that show are hard to watch in SD. WWE is worried about how Divas like Ashley Massero will look in HD, and they have lighting, make-up and camera work. What do you think she's going to look like after 19 days of sleep deprivation and no teeth brushing...?:nono2:
She looked pretty good even after a few days. I like her low cut tops. If only the nip slips weren't blurred out.
If Survivorman can shoot in HD anyone can.
He has no camera crew in the sand, mud, sleet, snow, rain, bears, etc.
THis is not about camera costs any more. This is about content providers so arrogant that they think they can broadcast any way they want and their viewers will follow them.
TV shows will either evolve or die. Any left behind in SD a year from now will be forgotten.
Evolve or die.
I thought that they said at the finale of the last season that this season would be in HD. I know I've heard it somewhere. I was really expecting it last night.
Survivor is boring to me and I haven't watched for a few seasons now. If it were in HD I might come back to it as I bet they could get some great footage.
I'm so tired of reality shows... when will it end... same with stupid talent shows. Someone needs to come up with something new. Too bad the more intelligent and interesting drama shows always get cut. Soon we'll see shows like Lost or Heros cut so we can put some more dancing with the _____ type shows on.
I do like Top Chef tho... at least they have some real talent and a purpose for what they are doing.
Sorry, got a little off subject.
