Looks like E* is playing with "5500 TST_5" and "6500 TST_6" audio channels, hidden in the EPG.

    Sirius? :)

    Golly, that would be cool.

Does Sirius just broadcast in Stereo or do they support any flavours of Surround/DD?

IIRC Sirius is stereo. And the Sirius music channels are coming - no date announced.

For now 5500 TST_5 is mirroring 964/821 Latin Styles
and 6500 TST_6 is mirroring 965/820 Fiesta Mexicana.

I'm assuming they are testing the numbering system to see if the new range will confuse receivers. They shouldn't, but it is good to test.

Some Receivers will not allow those numbers to be entered. Probably a test to get them all working.

Something has to give in the International/DISH Latino area. Not enough numbers there.

JohnH - for the receivers that WOULD allow those numbers to be entered - those channels would be available for the Mere Mortals?

Non Mere Mortals had getting them by being on the next Lowest (981 i think) or the next Highest (7000 i think) .. and then using Channel UP and Channel Down buttons... (entering 5500 or 6500 would not be working yet)

Apparently last Wednesday. I missed them in my SDT capture, and had not read anything about them. They are tunable FTA, with song title information.

But DNFYI did appear today. Dish Network FYI ... the new name for Dish101.
