It's just after 3 o'clock and I've just turned on the Jets game. I changed my avatar to the Jets logo and hope thereby to change both the Yankees' and Jets' seasons.

I have no doubt at all that this won't work, but I gotta do something.

    Depends on the team.... :rolling:

Though there's really only one game from last year I'd change..... but I am with you on the avatar doing something good....

Bucs gave the Jets the game... stupid penalty.

And the Bosox threw a wild pitch with the scored tied in the bottom of the 9th and a runner on 3rd and 2 out. Yankees won.

Rich I guess you changed your luck.

Worked out really well, didn't it? Of course, I'm much more concerned about the Yanks than the Jets. I can't see how they can still be in contention for a playoff spot. They could still make a run for a decent close to the season. If the pitching holds up. I really think this season just goes to show how "watered down" MLB has become.

I used to play high stakes poker and if I hit a losing streak, I'd always find a way to change things. Take a bathroom break, go for a sandwich, even just get up and walk around my chair. Anything to interrupt the flow. You have to admit the way both games ended was pretty surreal.

Did you happen to read the post where I used the word "reread" in another thread? Strange word.

Seemed peculiar in that the first sentence could have been construed as a command when I didn't mean it that way. I haven't made my way back to that thread yet.

I give up. Justin F. Pedroia, Johnny F. Gomes, Big F. Papi and the Boston F. Pitching staff ruined my weekend.

    Wait until next year!!!
