How about "My Subscription Package"?
Step one is CIG .. Step two is Filter. I'm hopeful that once CIG gets completed it will be plain as day to the folks at DIRECTV that a filter is still needed.
Heck if they could just turn on the filter now then we wouldn't even have to worry about CIG.
receive and get. hmm, sounds like I'm receiving a present or getting a gift. how about: "channels that I currently pay for" CTICPF
I just love this part from the manual: "To see the channels you receive, select Ch's I Get"
Not only is "Get" a poor word choice (it's bad, I tel ya! you dig? you get me?), but the apostrophe on "Ch's" is SOOOOOOOO not supposed to be there!
So for those two reasons alone, call it Channels I Receive!
And that's why I voted for "Channels I Receive" in the poll, not because "it's what we've been doing" ...
Now I hope you know I voted the last option but I DO care and it's NOT a stupid poll.
I will say that CIR is nicer to say than CIG as I'm not looking to get a cigar... :raspberry
I see "CIG" and think cigarette, not cigar. I'm sure Freud would have something to say about that.
Anyway, there's no way DIRECTV will ever change to "Channels I Receive" for ONE simple reason: The abbreviation in the left-hand menu would be "Ch's I Rec". Note that I left the apostrophe (ick!), because I know DIRECTV would, but also note that "Rec" could be mistaken for "Record".
In one sense, that's proper, because if this is implemented and functions properly, we really would be recording off that list, so ... maybe the feature name should not be "Channels I Get" nor should it be "Channels I Receive" ... it should be "Channels I Record"? No. Never mind. Too confusing.
