Very nice. My biggest worry today is using all the extension cords that I used for Sandy, they're better not be any storms in the next few weeks!

A lot of guys mostly use spools of lamp cord for most elements, other than the larger draws.

We saw the new TSO show this year, where they performed the rock opera that hasWizards in Winter. Quite a show for that song, though it did get quite...toasty.

Chris, if you want more options for songs in the future that won't be pulled off YouTube, check out Jonathan Coulton. He has a new Christmas album, and an older song called Chiron Beta Prime. The songs he writes are covered under Creative Commons By-NC. With attribution, these are safe on Youtube I believe, just like Judy's.

    He tweeted this one recently

Good thing she doesn't live in an HOA :)

I've heard of neighbors threatening or reporting displays to the police, or even the FCC, but never someone basically egging them on with a display.

All done for this year. Took the lawn decoration down but left the lights on the house and are keeping them constantly on through the new year.

Was a good year. Had lots of visitors and even some applause. :)

I think next year we might replace the candy canes with some light arches. Might be a nice touch.

Will be updating christmaslightmagic.net with our progress through the year.

Well here we are two years later and currently setting up our Christmas light show again. Not too many configuration changes but adding a few more songs this year. Just got finished with "Let It Go" from the movie Frozen. That one came out pretty good I think. Will post a video in early December. Still have more work to do.

Since I have been having vertigo issues, my wife is climbing the ladder this year. She's one tough cookie.

I really need to get back to controlling mine. After the Great Extension Cord theft and a bad investment in LED lights, I haven't done it in a few years.

Have you tried out the Cosmic Color LOR products?

You had your extension cords stolen? Sorry to hear that. Those things are one of the most expensive items in our display. We have a fortune invested in them. To prevent theft, I have them all bundled together as much as possible using tie straps and attached to a metal chain which also secures the decorations. That's about all we can do.

Still not doing LED at all. Sticking with incans. LED's just don't look right to me. They are still pricey as well.

Haven't looked at the Cosmic Color stuff.
