Not sure, but it might indicate the channel is on the 119 satellite (not available to those with SL3 or SL3SWM dishes) or perhaps its one of the channels that require the high priced package to receive. (editorial comment to DirecTv: Ill never pay extra for sonic tap when I have XM and Pandora).

I love Holidays and Happenings. I wish there was an onDemand Yule Log in HD. I like to watch it prior to Christmas morning.

I still have my recording made last Christmas from HDNet. Might check there and WGN America. Both showed it last Christmas. This year, I just bought a darn electric fire stove and Pandora :)

I bought a Yule Log DVD with built-in Christmas music. It's just easier to hit the DVR. :)

DMX (sonic tap) doesn't "mix in" Christmas songs on their regular music channels like XM used to. If you want Christmas music, you listen to "Holidays and Happenings".

The post (with percentages) must have referred to some other digital music service like "Music Choice" or XM/Sirius.

As an installer I hate that Directv puts this on the 119 satellite. I go out put up the usual 3LNB that is used locally and then we get calls grumping about where is the Christmas channel? I would love it if they put it on a channel that the 3lnb received.

I don't know what I was thinking when I posted that DMX (Sonic Tap) didn't mix in Christmas music on their regular channels. Apparently, in years past I never happened to listen to the channels that did have the holiday music mixed in....

I think that Sonic Tap (DMX) is changing their programming philosophy to correspond to what the "powers that be" at DirecTV suggest. DMX used to program to businesses and a few cable TV systems. Now in addition they program to the MILLIONS and MILLIONS of DirecTV subscribers. I am sure that the major revenue generator for DMX (Sonic Tap) is currently DirecTV.
