Several dish customer have reported at slickdeals.net the offer is back.
At this point it appears only if you are notified of it do you get it, but many have reported getting 3 months free when you ask about it.....
Has anyone been able to determine what it is that triggers them to contact people about it?
I called about the penny promo and csr did not know anything about it but did give me cinemax free for 3 months. A nice Christmas present.
I scored the 3mos. of Skinemax for free.
Not back. And they only offered me a half price deal.
There isn't any Cinamax deal. I asked a DIRT.
I just got it. [Cinemax free for 3 mo.]
One catch, when I asked if there was anything I had to do at the end of three months, I was told I must contact them so that I would not be billed $13/mo going forward.
We switched from DirectTV in April 2011 to Dish.
Other than an initial signing-up offer for free HBO for 3 months (or one of the premium packages, I can't remember which one exactly), that was it for Dish for free offers. On the other hand, when we were with DirecTV, we typically got free extended services (for ~3 months) either once or twice per year for the several years we were with them.
Now I acknowledge that Dish has the free previews and perks thing, which we keep an eye on and take advantage of, but we have never been approached by Dish with any of the types of free premium package offers as a thank you for being their customer as we used to with DirecTV. Is this just the way Dish does things or do they also do the same type of thing? If it's the latter, do we need to be with Dish longer for this to kick in?
You have to go to them. They have specials on premiums pretty frequently but you've always got to ask.
Interesting. I'll give it a shot.
Was able to get the 12 month deal; but only after really pushing hard. Initially claimed it was targeted and I had to have received an e-mail from them. Bumped from CSR to supervisor and then finally to customer loyalty. Finally the loyalty rep gave me it; but not until I laid on the 13+ year customer; Dish constantly removing programming; cost increase is forthcoming; topics.
BTW - Rep stated only stipulation is I must stay on AutoPay and I have to cancel or will be billed after 12 months.
