CNBC-HD 771 ?

    Should I cancel my tech appointment for this week Yet ?

    By the way,I think its that guy Nick wo is the head of Communication's at CNBC who I talked today and the Supervisor at Directv tech named Mary who saved the day.

    UPDATE: It's now the next day - October 17th..and it's early am here in southern California..and CNBCHD is still on :)

    No brakes for DirecTV CSR's they have no clue whats going on when it comes to anything

    this problem was going on for two weeks

    What is everyone getting for their readings on 103b Transponder 22? We should keep an eye on this because even though they have stabalized the signal, it is still much weaker than all other transponders in our area.

    Last night I was getting 67 and this morning I am getting 63.

    All other Transponders on 103b are above 78 with most above 81.

    It seems to me that whatever was going on with this transponder is not fixed all the way and we need to stay on top of D* until it is completely fixed.

    According an unofficial transponder list that is posted in another thread, CNBC-HD is the only channel currently coming from TP22. Most others have 4-6 channels coming from them. This means that some future channels will be getting added to TP22 and we need to make sure it is fully working for everyone in SoCal.

    I'm getting about 68-69 on all receivers which is down from 72 yesterday. There has been rain here this morning so the cloudy skies may have something to do with the lower readings. If the skies clear later on, I will check again.

    Are those 68-69 readings significantly lower than all other Transponders from 103b? Ore are your other transponders in the high 60's and low 70's?

    other transponders get a higher reading.. 90's

    Update: BAD NEWS guys. TP#22 went back to 0 and CNBC-HD is lost again on the "HR20/H20 100" models only. For the Non-100 models TP#22 is in running in the mid 70's.

    I haven't been home yet..but I can't believe it went out again..from what you guys wrote here?I even cancelled my repair appointment earlier today.Why would it mess up again on that channel if they fixed it recently?

    TP22 back to 0 on my H20-100 and TP22 back to 38-39 on my HR20-700. The "Bug" is back!

    Yesterday was a little too good to be true...I still have my tech appointment scheduled for tomorrow, I will let you all know what I find out. Although this Tech will probably have no idea what is going on and have no idea how to fix it!

    My bet is that he:

    1. changes a few connectors in my wiring (won't work)
    2. switches out my LNB (might work but I doubt it)
    3. then recommends that my boxes are both bad (won't work)
    4. Maybe its an improper grounding issue, but I am not knowledgeable in that area. I will be after tomorrow though...

    Okay um just messed around with the cable & suddenly I have CNBCHD. Tried the samething a few days ago and zilch. Even got a zero on TP22 last time I checked.Im sure it'll be back to 771 later or tomorrow

    Talk to a tech SUPERVISOR at Directv...do not waste time talking to a regular tech..it will be a BIG waste of time....
    My CNBCHD is out also now......I'm calling my guy at CNBCHD tomorrow-his name is Nick..he's head of programming there..also will talk to a head supervisor at Directv...
    After all that..I give up..what IDIOT's these people are..If you fix something..you don't go and mess it up again.What is wrong with them !!!!!!!!!!!

    just got off the phone with DirecTV

    CSR says they have no record of a problem with CH 355 HD (hmmm thats funny)
    or TP 22 on sat 103b

    CSR says she is sending notes to upper level tech

    I Spoke To A Tech Supervisor named BRIAN this morning-Thursday October 18th- Employee# 251818 -Pacific time.....I told him about our situation/problem with CNBCHD . I also told him that I had spoken to a tech supervisor named Mary 2 days ago there who told me she would talk to the person who is in charge of fixing the outage problem with CNBCHD..that same day CNBCHD went on for all of us !!! Then it went Off the next day.Brian said he would forward the problem to the person in that division above him and Mary ..like Mary did the other day.That person who is above them in another division is not in yet,but will be in today and he has the link to this web page of Dbstalk.com and of this specific forum. He is the one who can make this channel turn ON again-like he did the other day !!!And hopefully STAY on ! I told Brian that it was a problem with transponder 22-he was aware of that from the notes on my account.


    So hopefully this will be taken care of again soon !
    Brian agreed with me that a service call is not the answer to resolve this problem..since Directv was able to turn that channel on the other day for all of us !!! Then yesterday they turned it off. transponder 22 is the problem..which is something Directv can fix from where THEY are ! And did fix from where They are..the other day..and unfixed it a day later.

    Also Brian said I and anyone who calls about this problem with CNBCHD should only talk to a tech supervisor about this because they have access to a totally different computer screen than the CSR's.

    Just had a Tech out to my house and he checked everything with my system and said it was working perfectly. He switched out the LNB, checked out the wiring, tested a different box and all the same problems still happened with Transponder 22 on 103b.

    This is definitely not a hardware issue on our end...We all need to keep calling DirecTV so that this problem gets fixed on their end! We deserve a product that works correctly!

    So, is this just an issue with H20's? Are some people getting CNBCHD 100% now? Mine is still glitchy, sometimes it's working perfectly, sometimes there's nothing, sometimes it's pixelated with audio problems.

    For those of you who can READ THIS..it's TRANSPONDER 22 and its a problem over at Directv..NOT with our equipment.

    TALK TO A TECH SUPERVISOR or READ my last post before this one..it will explain what they are trying to do now about this problem..it was fixed before when i called them the other day...and it will be fixed again..
    The problem is not from our equipment !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
