I don't get it ... How can persistant Lip Sync issues persist for this long? Doesn't anyone monitor these channels? CNNHD (Mpeg4) has been out of sync for the last 2 days so far...

Should we be calling someone at the Station? or D* ???

Yeah.. I record 2.5 hours of CNN a day and now with 22D nothing I try makes it better. This is really frustrating.

Same problem here, I've had it intermittently since CNN went HD.

Do you notice it on HD or just upconverted (4:3) material?

CNNHD - channel 202 ... BTW, for whatever reason, somebody JUST woke up someplace and seemed to have fixed it ... at least for the time being. We'll see how long it stays in Sync.

I have a question about that RES light... When I pressed the Resolution button (at the left side of the 4 lights), it DID in fact switch to 1080i ... Am I to assume that I need to change the RES value Manually for various HD Channels??? I thought these units were smart enough to "figure it out" and set for the best resolution... Unclear on why I need to do this.. Thanks

Excuse me, Hr20-700. Are we distinguishing between recorded and live?

No, you shouldn't have to do that. What release are you on?

Okay, I'm confused because this is a DVR forum. Although that's not germane.

Yea, I know (DVR forum) ... but this thread started regarding Lip Sync issues - which were occuring on BOTH my HR20 & H20 ... (I have both models). Anyway, my NR 0x4062 is the version on the H20 ... I have 0x22D on the HR20

There was a major lip sync discussion on one of the forums, If not the CE forum then the general discussion forum. I agree it has nothing to do with DVRs, but I assume when I am in this DVR forum., I am reading about DVRs

Are there black pillars on the side of the video or does the picture fill the entire screen where there are problems? The point being if they are upconverting material at CNN they may have a problem with their upconverter. At my station we will have issues with our HD audio, but when we air local material (not network) the audio is fine. I figured that maybe it was the same problem.

There are the "pillars" that are filled with the CNNHD log stuff. And like I reported earlier, they seemd to have fix something about 2 hours ago... Everything has been in Sync since ...

I'm still out of sync, both with the material and pillars, or without.

I had the same problem last week. I did the up and down channel thin and it look like it is fix. CNN is the only channel with lip syinc issues.
