Thats because Comcast thinks they own the world! I really believe now that they are in charge of a lot of country wide programming and other services, they will be forced to let go of their "one little city".

Trying to be optimistic here goose!!

Hey, don't worry Philadelphia area Phillies fans. It was announced today that only 103 games are going to be broadcast on CSN Philly this season, and 3 on The Comcast Network.

Hmm, good luck with that. I've you willed the access to the site to your children? Comcast will never give it up. I like to watch the Phillies as much as anyone, and there are ways to see them. For example i'm not in Arizona

season tix be great but then i gotta pay 20 to park, spend 30 in food, then have to deal with traffic and waste a 40 bucks in gas.

when i compare D to C its like the cartoon the can and the opener.

D has everything i want all the sports in HD and is great but no CSN

C has CSN but all their sports subscription packages are not in HD. but what ya going to do gotta pay for what you want.

Well this sounds good maybe, yes Virginia there might be a Santa Claus yet.Time will tell I did get to watch the Sixers on MSG last weekend Fri& Sun. For some reason I,get MSG as my regional sports channel even though I,m located just outside Phila in South Jersey.which I get to see the Flyers or Sixers home or away when they play the Nicks or Rangers. It will be nice if CSN Phila does show up and I,ll have full access to my home teams. In closing MSG hd feed has a great picture quality for viewing games as good as any channel I,ve watched .

If Comcrap refuses to provide CSN Philly to D* and E*, customers of each satellite carrier should become 'free agents' and therefore be permitted to choose their local RSN DMA of choice with their carrier. This may help prevent Philly area customers from being kept hostage...may even allow other team's go get fans and other RSNs viewers they otherwise may not have had.

If that were to happen, games involving non Philly teams would still be blacked out. MLB, NBA, and NHL determines who gets blacked and who doesn't, not D* or E*.

Something HAS to come up finally! If you read that article,Comcast has been FORCED to have to make those channels avail. So now should be a matter of time before this crap is finally over with. I was hoping they would force Comcast to have to make those channels avail as a result of the merger and it's clear they did add something in about this during the merger.

The way I read the article, D* has made a move to attempt to negotiate w/Comcrap, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Comcrap is cooperating. It may be that D* is going to try to negotiate so that when they get turned down, they will have ammunition to say that Comcrap is not bargaining in good faith, especially if this turns into an arbitration or legal issue. I just don't see Comcrap giving up Comcrap Philly unless they are legally made to do so, especially given their comments after the merger approval that tried to say that access to Comcrap Philly was not affected by the merger agreement.

is arbitration only tied to 1 channel or can comcast drag G4 into this or if they want to play some real hardball drag in NFL ST that D* may not be able to give to comcast even if they want to get CSN Philly?

Will D* try to pull in CSN NW , CSS, (CSS Houston) csn Houston (planed) into the deal.

From the sound of that article, it sounded like that was part of Comcast's requirements before the merger would be allowed:sharing their channels. So I still think Comcast isn't going to have a choice when it comes to this and either way now that DTV has made a move this will only end up going to arbitration if necessary which in turn can also go against Comcast. I would think it would be better for Comcast to finally drop their crap and let it happen compared to going to arbitration.
