Once I have the HR20 networked and it becomes an available device, will I be able to copy off entire shows to my PC or even DVD so that I can preserve them? I have not seen anything on here about moving them off onto an external source. Is this allowed? Being new to this forum, I really appreciate any info you can provide.

Not yet. The "media sharing" features only support music and photos, not video yet. Even when video files are supported, we don't know if you'll actually be able to copy the HR20's video files to your PC.

You can use your PC's video capture hardware, though, to "record" the HR20's programs to your PC just like you would to a VCR or DVD Recorder.
