They did shut down the East Coast Distants recently. Maybe that bandwidth will head over to the West Coast for FSN???

The East Coast distants were in MPEG-2 format. Any additions to the HD line-up on D* from now on will be in MPEG-4 format. All of the western FSNs are already full time HD channels, its the CSN channels in Northern California that are still part time, while CSN Northwest isn't even carried.

Not only was it a crappy ending to the game last night but to have to watch such a lousy picture,no hd makes it even worse.I am on the phone while the Giants game was on with a friend and he has Comcast and he is watching it in hd and I can't is a joke.I pay for premium service and this is what I get-SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This afternoon's game (8/30) is in HD. Only problem is no audio. It's always something.

CSN (California) offically announced today that they'll have a post game show after all Raiders games. The big news here is they have "snagged" Tony Bruno to be a co-host every week. The show will include Bruno, Bill Romanowski, Jaymee Sire, Jim Kozimor, and Greg Papa. That's a pretty strong line up if you ask me. Plus, CSN Bay Area will have a 49ers post game show that is headlined by Gary Radnich and Wille Brown. Now if D* would just turn these channels on in HD that'd be great!

Last night the game did come on, after an inning or so. I guess they had a movie sharing that HD space. I noticed today's game is listed as being in HD but is not showing....I wonder if it's one of the "fiber only" games??? CSN Bay Area has 3 CFB games listed for Sat on their website listed as being in HD but only one is listed as HD in the D* guide. Again, I think we're getting hurt/burned by the fact that D* hasn't picked up the 24hr HD version(s) of the channel(s) (Bay Area and California).

Looking on the CSNBA web site fiber only games have a * next to the HD. This afternoons game doesn't have a *.
I called D* and the csr was trying to be helpful but was clueless...didn't even know what a -1 channel number indicates. Very disappointng in this baseball seasons viewing. I thought it might have improved from years past but I think it's actually worse this year. And they (D*) wonder why I don't want to sign up for EI. Between this issue and all the blackout rules there's no chance. Worst value for your dollar of any of the sports packages.

After a second look at the CSNBA web page the 'fiber only' asterik's are gone now so maybe this was one of those games. That would explain the logo splash screen versus the 'join in progress' screens. Still sukks...

The program guide said 696-1 was carrying the game, it got recorded and because of various reasons, I didn't get to check it out until Thursday night. I was careful to avoid listening or looking at anything that would reveal the results in the interim. So I get ready for a nice evening of the russian roulette of Barry Zito and I get 4 1/2 hours of the logo instead. What a disappointment.

This is ridiculous that D* doesn't carry the HD channel fulltime. Saturday's Houston-OK St game was in HD on every RSN that was carrying it except for CSNBA. Come on D*.

Tonite's game (9/12) for anyone living in Reno is carried by KAME Channel 21 SD only. The MLB Network is carrying the game in HD but we're blocked out. This whole distribution system is ridiculous. And I blame Congress for allowing this kind of thing to happen. I'm not even in the same state as the ads, teams, public anouncements, etc. The whole logic of it escapes me.

The Sharks announced yesterday (9/16) they will be moving their games from CSN Bay Area to California. I am not really sure how this helps the Sharks becuase they will sharing the channel with an NBA team and a MLB team. I guess their feeling is all those in the GS Warriors terriotry which is also Sharks territory will be "in the clear" and should get to see more Sharks games in HD and on the "main" channel instead of CSN+. Here is the info regarding the change: http://www.csncalifornia.com/pages/...0-0-Comcast-Sport=1&blockID=75533&feedID=2798 Key note--"at least 50 games will be in HD."

Side note--Bob Fitzgearld announced that 80 Dubs game will be on CSNBA and 50 of those will be in HD. I am sure some of those HD games will be just for the 24hr HD version of CSNBA, so hopefully we get the channel soon!

Game was available in HD to kame (carry local feed of RAIDERS in HD) but choose not to show it in HD. Its CHEAPER to show in SD.They are CHEAP.
