I have been fine tuning my dish by peaking the 103c satellite. I’m sure that it is the best that it is going to get but it is still a little lower than a lot of people have posted. I’m not having any problems and rain and weather fade is not really an issue here in San Diego but you know I just what to optimize it. I have read that there are two manufactures of the LMB’s and that one gives a stronger signal than the other. Could this be my problem or do you think it is something else?

So what brand do you have? It's on the label on the inside face of the LNB.

I believe other folks have reported lower levels with the Cal Amp. But especially given your location and rain fade not being much of an issue, I wouldn't sweat it. The small extra margin that you might gain on 103c Ka channels wouldn't buy you much -- in my experience, those channels drop quickly from the 90s to zero in a weather event; much more of a quick/steep falloff than for the Ku birds.
