All events will be shown LIVE through online streaming, so they won't "ignore" it from that sense. Many events will also be shown live on television. But don't forget, because of the time difference (5 hours earlier in EDT, 8 hours earlier in PDT) many events have already starts, some may already be over by the time we wake up in the morning. What is shown in prime time in England (e.g. 19:00 - 23:00) are probably things like the swimming competitions, and will be shown live in the U.S. via one medium or another, tv or online. The prime time broadcast of NBC will be the best events of that day, and there will be a 3 hour tape-delay between the east coast and west coast. Some of the events then shown will already have been broadcast live, others have not been. In any case *everything* can be seen live through their web streams. I'm planning a social media blackout of some sorts. I am rooting for both the USA and The Netherlands, and my social media outlets are FULL of people from both countries, so it will be hard.
