there is no download for the HR24's or H24, does that put them out of the picture for testing??
I have the same problem on my HR20-100.

Right. You will need to wait until the next CE for the 24s.
So channel 1096 is showing "Avatar" in the big box and "Tooth Fairy" in the upper right and "Edge of Darkness" in the lower right box. I can download these for the trial or wait for the ones on the list?
Wait until you load this current CE, or until the HR24 CE comes if applicable.

Just a white screen now on channel 1096 after CE download.
Just downloaded the CE. Still "Channel Not Available" on 1096. I will check again tomorrow.
Got the CE here and all I get is a gray screen when I turn to 1096. The info banner says cinema test channel for cutting edge but nothing comes up.
Same here I can tune to channel 1096 but it's just black screen. To be honest all the other On Demand channles are black as well. This is for receiver h21-100. For my H21-200 I still can't tune to that channel.
Guides are most likely flushed. Hopefully this will resolve itself overnight.

Well, this could take WEEKS to download (or be able to watch) a movie where Netflix takes minutes. I can't see too much use for this WITHOUT a BB connection. If I had to wait 2 weeks to get a movie over the sat for $6 I think I'd prefer Netflix, Redbox ($1) or Blockbuster.
That's why we're here. Test it, post the issues, and test it again.
They'll use the info and improve it as necessary.
At any rate, for those that don't have a BB connection, this is a good thing.
How can you tell how much is being downloaded I do not see it anywhere? At this moment I do not have broadband hooked up just the phone line. I will be adding it here in a few minutes hopefully it starts to download and I see a progress bar. But with just the phone line I see nothing indicating a download is in progress.
