Way ahead of you. Got Mas Ultra and I get all I wanted for La Liga and Champions League matches. I am hoping NBC Sports Network gets added on February 9th when the new packages come out.

Hopefully we get to play the clue game again. It made the weeks leading up to AMCHD a bit more fun.

I think the "basics" are obvious with the moves announced over the last couple months. Cloo HD and Sprout HD are clear additions being it would mean that many customers would have to upgrade in order to get them (although almost none will.)

    There's always a catch...

I also think we will at least see TruTV for the tourney again this year, but maybe not beyond that.

Correct. This is from the FAQ on the Cloo web site:

Q: Is Cloo available in high definition?

A: Cloo does not currently broadcast in HD, but that is a possiblility for the future.

If we get "several" this quarter, my guess is:

    TruTV & HLN - March 7th
    DisneyJr - March 28th

My latest random theory - Directv signed a deal with TimeWarner to get TruTV for the basketball games and worked out deals for all the missing TW nets (Tru, Headline News, TCM.) I just don't think we'll get all three at the same time.

I hope you're right, it would be the first time I was happy getting a channel I didn't want :) I.E. TCM is the only SD left that I'd watch if it was HD.

    Purely uneducated guess...

    BBCA HD
    DIY HD
    TCM HD

Oh wait. That's my wish list...

I would guess that Fox Movie Channel and Nat Geo Wild are going HD, because DTV just signed a new contract with them recently.

NGW is hard to watch in SD.

:D I would like to see H2, BBC America, Tru, TCM. Don't give me any more sports in HD or movie channels.

I can't imagine a channel choosing to not broadcast in HD, like Cloo chooses as shown a few posts back. Whether any systems will show it in HD is another question but why not broadcast it in HD?

I say that anything is hard to watch in SD.

    Money for instance.

Cloo (back when it was Sleuth) was expected to go HD and be carried by DirecTV, but the economic downturn most likely changed their minds.

Changing equipment over to HD is certainly not cheap.

With NBCUniversal aka Comcast owning cloo and Chiller, the pockets are certainly deep enough. Probably since both of them are near the bottom of the barrel in the cable network ratings, they have decided it is not worth the money.

I have no doubt they are coming... heck, Universal Sports won't even be in HD until this month, but your thinking above would echo my assumption as well.

NG Wild, IFC, DIY, H2, and Sundance are the only ones I really want now. Any others are welcome; BUT DO NOT ruin the pristine HD of what we currently have. It's beautiful. Like I've said before on here, my gf who usually can't see the difference between SD and HD noticed the difference betwen TWC HD and D* HD. (And Directv's SD is SO MUCH better than the disastrous Time-Warner SD we used to have - it's actually watchable on D*.)

Any channel like Nat Geo Wild that has so many beautiful nature shots but is NOT in HD is just plain stupid.
