Well, I was hoping for TCMHD, DIYHD & BBCAHD to arrive at my satellite box soon. What's the latest over/under on when these channels might be showing up (other than "Soon")...?

Remind me, are the flying donkeys before or after the monkeys coming out of butts?

It really is becoming quite silly, and tiring, how nothing at all is said about what is coming until the very last possible moment. Is it really that detrimental, or hard, to say something in a relatively non-committal, yet still somewhat informative manner? Politicians seem to be able to do it all the time.

After the HBO multiplex HD issue that went from the 2007 announcement to full implementation just last year, a whole lot of people suddenly expected that once something is announced, it is set in stone unless proven otherwise. Hence the trend.

Same can be said for the 200 HD channel "capacity".

Had to figure someone would throw that out there in response, sigh...

ANCIENT HISTORY. Time to get over it and move on. (not aimed at anyone specifically but generally speaking). I did long ago.

Politician during re-election campaign: "We will deliver BBC America HD before 2012 is out"

Do you now believe that you will actually GET BBC America in HD before 2012 is out?

I haven't seen ONE politician, Democratic, Republican or otherwise, actually make promises they can keep. And this is mostly because they rely on the congressional votes of OTHER politicians, something no one can guarantee.

In the end, the REAL reason behind not revealing information customers seek, is that if they information turns out to be false, or the time table promised cannot be kept, (the 2007 announcement for HBO HD is a great example) it will only do more harm among customers who are angry, than revealing any information at all. NO information is better than information that turns out to be not accurate later.

MavTV is an excellent bailout channel. If nothing else seems interesting, there's always something unique there.

I didn't even know that snowmobile jumping was a sport.

Around here they skip them on lakes --"snowmobile watercross", and yes they get a crowd for it and it has rules and everything.

Yes, I'm pretty sure there was considerable alcohol involved in inventing the sport. :)

The Hub and all the other kids channels need to be in HD to keep their attention. I have an 11month old and when we watch even the 4:3 aspect HD shows they are brighter, clearer, sharper = HD... why why why why won't you just give us ALL HD...

HD is an option, but theses days with technology it needs to be the STANDARD....anyone... especially a company that provides the latest in ENTERTAINMENT technology should know this...

    sighhhh

    Welcome back!

Is your TV 11 months old, or are you referring to a child?

I like to watch Spanish soccer myself, therefore I want ESPN Deportes HD so I could watch their La Liga and Copa Del Rey matches......

Instead I'll keep my requests reasonable.

Don't worry about having ESPN Deportes HD for La Liga next year. In all likelihood, we'll need another new channel to watch La Liga.:nono2:
