    Hot Dog!!!

I finally get HLN! With HLN, Cooking, H2 and TVLand I'm pretty much set.

    Wonder when they'll go live?

Well... I don't really care about HLN or IDHD, and I'd only get to possibly enjoy Encore Action on Freeview weekends, but the others are really nice additions for me.

Essentially, that just leaves CW HD-DNS as my only MAJOR WANT... and greatly reduced my secondary wants... leaving only Reelz HD, The Hub HD, (potentially) Chiller HD, and Fox Movie Channel HD.

And SR said this wasn't the end...

2013 will be a great year for HD.

I am new to the channel anticipation threads. What is the exact meaning of being in test? Does that mean the channels are there but only visible to designated test customers? There for everyone (relative to it being in their package) but not fully populated with program guide data? Or is it like being in beta at Google where it pretty much works they way it's intended even if it hasn't been made official yet? :D

These are pretty much the only ones I'd like to see added as well & I'm content. If we can't get Chiller, I'd like to have FearNet HD. I'd like to see D* offer at least one of these that way they can say they have us horror fans covered. :)

It is there, but usually only viewable with the proper access card. Sixto can see the listings without one of these cards, as it's "in the clear", but even he can't actually watch them. However, at least in the past, there was a "bug" in the HR34 that made it possible to indirectly access them. You had to search for a show that was on, and sometimes the HD feed would show up in the results. Tune to it or record it, then add it to the quicktune screen. Didn't work for all shows.

I don't know if this still works.

Test is for directv testing. Data is in the stream but only visible for those with test cards (internal testers). There was/is a bug on HR34 that channels can be accessed through a back door.

Yep, can't leave them out, or the men that are in touch with their feminine side. Actually, I'm pretty happy about Cooking Channel, I find I don't watch much on Food Network anymore with their change in focus.

I'm most happy with tvland and encore action. H2 is nice even though most of what I watch there is also on history but it gives more flexibility. The rest are just icing.

Still would like the Plex channels and fox movies.

Okay, thanks. Makes sense. I figured there had to be a difference in how things worked when they were in test status, as otherwise there would be no point in distinguishing it as such.

Looking forward to the announcement in this thread when they're officially live.

Guess my rural outlander status is secure.

I was hoping for RFD in HD.

LOL, or should I say Hee Haw?
