I'm VERY excited to have TV Land HD added today...

I'll watch LMN late this year (November/December)...

I have no interest in IDHD.

IDHD is a huge deal in my house. I am pretty sure my wife watches everything they broadcast.

    (I probably should be worried)

I'll even take LMNHD always something the wife and I can enjoy there.

One of the Hallmark HD channels (the one in the HD Extra Pack) used to run Murder She Wrote and the picture quality was pretty good, especially for the later seasons.

FYI, TV Land is running The Princess Bride this Saturday. Beware the ROUS'es!

In a way it is not a bug. If you have your favorites list set to hide SD duplicates of the HD channel, then the receiver did exactly what it was suppose to do.

True it is a pain in the backside, but working as designed.

That's why I leave mine on "Channels I Get". Unfortunately, that's pretty buggy, but at least I don't have channels disappear.

I don't like "Channels I Get" because I don't want all the SD channels and PPV channels on the list when I am browsing for something to watch.

When did TV land get HD on Directv. I just flip to that channel and it now on HD, when did that happen. Also there are rumors that Cooking channel HD will be added, it has not yet.

It is not really a bug. An inconvenience, perhaps, but the reality is that although they have the same virtual number they are, in fact, different channels. If you show all channels and do not hide SD duplicates, you will see that you can tune to either channel. As far as the receiver is concerned, they are different.

It is similar to the situation when the OTA channels switch frequencies, but the virtual number remains the same. You must rescan to continue to find the same virtual channel because it is on a different real frequency.

BTW, you also have to change all of your series links. Otherwise, even if you have the HD channel hidden, you will continue to record the SD channel.

Well finally got a chance to look at some of these new channels. They all look fantastic! Can't wait for the second batch... That'll be the better half.

Keep the new HD coming! I'll stay subscribed to SIXTO's threads so I will know when to edit my favorites list.

DirecTV made these beautiful hi-res banners saying LMN is in HD, Investigation discovery is in HD and TVLand is in HD. Funny thing is that you don't see them at all unless you add the new HD channels in the first place! Since the HD versions are not auto added, people will never see the banners! It pays to be a DBSTalk member!

Logos intact this round, learning from all this testing I see!

True for some, but I see the banners and I didn't add the new channels. I have favorites set to channels I get, so the new channels and the banners are in my guide. And the majority of the DIRECTV subscribers probably don't even use favorites, unlike the users that post here. So they are seeing them as well.
