Best guess, April or, more likely, May.

D12 is moving along nicely, and it appears that the 2/15 date in the FCC filing is very possible.

Then 4 weeks of testing until 3/15.

And then 3 weeks to move to 103, by 4/5.

And then hopefully "live" by 4/30.

If it slips to May, then it's early-May, or something went wrong along the way.

Well, ESPNU HD is set to go live the first quarter of 2010 according to a press release by D*. WGN HD is rumored to be coming out in the first wave of rollouts with the new satellite in April/May or if they use bandwith from somewhere else anytime soon. WGN HD has been in the rumor bin for a while. Probably will light up before MLB starts though! Or one can hope...stay tuned!

I secretly wish for March/April, but in this case I am "promising" little so they can deliver big. :)

If it's a paid single channel, like Setanta was, screw that. Add it to the Sports Pack.

No it belongs in Choice/Choice Xtra like all the other single sport channels (NFLN, MLBN, NHLN, NBA, Golf, Tennis, Speed).

Fox Soccer and Gol are both part of the Sports Pack.

Personally, I wouldn't mind a soccer package. Rarely do I watch a distant RSN, but need the Sportpack for Fox Soccer.

So, if they put togther a soccer premium pack for say $15/mo that includes the UEFA channels they had, Fox Soccer, Fox Soccer+, Gol and FSE, I could do that. Include the MLS Direct Kick and I would be sold.

I stopped subscribing to these packages 3-4 years ago when I went HD. The SD feeds look atrocious and are not worth the time or money. I will probably get back on board once they go HD, and I'm shocked it hasn't happened already.

They tried including a 24 hour channel with a game only package already (NBA TV with NBA League Pass) but people decided it wasn't worth the premium price (especially during the offseason) so DirecTV moved it to a basic package.

The proposed legislation currently banging around in Congress may change that and the expiration of the existing rules is only four weeks away.
