I never understood why every and any mention of 3D turns into a bunch of posts justifying why they hate it and say it'll fail.

This is nonsensical. I did not say all poll respondents agreed like all respondents in the HD poll did not agree. Helping you understand is proving impossible.

Frankly, anymore ANY post starts some sort of war in this thread...

Just not a lot of fun to read anymore....

(And yes, before you post, I know, I could ignore the thread, and I took the time to post on a thread despite not liking it, and my mother didn't raise me correctly, and despite the fact that there is no sound attached, CAPITALS equals shouting, ad nauseum...)

This is not the first time it has been tried. It was used back in the 70's and early 80's, by a lot of independent TV stations. All you had to do was go to your local 7-11 store and get your 3-D glasses. It was popular for a while then faded away.

Other than Disney or any of the theme parks, that have 3-D shows, it has kind of died out, until the big recent push, by TV manufacturers.

Because the large number of people with $2,000 TVs they just bought in the last couple years thinking that with 1080p the market had finally settled down enough to do it, simply aren't emotionally prepared to think about doing it again any time soon, and resent like he11 the implication that they should, or might have to in order to see what they want. Pretty predictable.

3D may be a fad. We'll see. It won't die out in another year tho. The movie studios and particularly the theaters have way too much money invested to give up easily.

Still waiting on some New HD from D*
make a bet gas hits $5.00 before D* does any adding. just to make sure hoosier doesn't act like a fool, it as to be Basic National HD which means anyone in any part of the country with a HD TV and HD receiver can get without having to change packages or pay a extra fee.

All that proves is that you hang around with a bunch of people who dislike 3D ;) You could easily find a bunch who love 3D

I'd like a piece of that action...I'll bet its NOT MET and we get no new national HD...5$ a gallon...I'll walk around here see if any gas stations in NYC are already at that..

If we get any HD in typical shifty sleeze D* behavior --> it'll be more PPV HD's and or round out the Missing HD's from HBO/MAX/SHO Premiums..

wouldnt mind paying out this bet if I lose...I think we're all in same boat that we want a friggin bone thrown to us here in regards to some HD arriving..
