The poster's question was regarding forward-looking through June 2011.

Efforts to change the past are fruitless.

Based on the fact that SR has told us that deals for at least two channels are in place, 0 is not an option.

And it is at least possible it could be zero next quarter. I don't think it will be, but nothing SR has said forecloses it. He promised more HD, not necessarily more basic, which is what the poster requested predictions on.

No reason (or evidence) to believe 0 is in play. There are reasons to believe in a greater number.

People will believe what people will believe.

First, please stop cutting & pasting entire articles. A link will suffice, and I believe there's other reasons (legally) not to do so.

Second, 1 miniseries is far from any reason for a provider to bow to the network, especially this miniseries. Which brings me to my third comment.

Third, this miniseries is supposed to be a bunch of "fluff." Even the History Channel dropped it's rights to carry it...Pretty sad for a channel that carries "reality" shows to consider this miniseries as a, "dramatic interpretation [that] is not a fit for the History brand." Not only did the History Channel pass, but Showtime, DirecTV's 101, FX and Starz all passed on it.

I fixed your post for you. :D

Perhaps you should reread yourself. :D

People are not asking for more HD just for the sake of HD. People are asking for particular channels. Hence the list in my post. :D

Since Travel Channel is owned by Scripps Network, as are Home & Garden Television and Food Network, it would be terrific to see DIY Network and Cooking Channel get their HD feeds added to the lineup of DirecTV.

(Side note: Wonder if Great American Country is planning to go high-def.)

    Thanks for the news item.

I'd like to see DirecTV bring in Reelz Channel HD before the miniseries premieres [Sunday, April 3]. (Bring in Ovation TV HD as well.)

    I updated the list...

I don't subscribe to HBO, so today doesn't really affect me, but congratulations to those it does. :)

The premiere is only 4 days away and there's nothing in test so we won't see it. It'll probably be on downloadable formats in HD though.

I'll bet at least a small amount that it is played in HD more than once.

    :) Thanks!

    Good to see your post.

I am an HBO subscriber. Appreciate, but am not impressed with, the additions earlier today of east-coast HBO Signature HD and HBO Family HD.

Absolutely right. Nobody wanted the series , which is probably a good indication on the quality. Reelz looks to me as one of those "cheap" channels.

You appreciate but aren't impressed with them???? Is that like saying "Thanks so much I love it" on Christmas then returning it later?
