IMDB has it as a 92 minute runtime. AMC has a two-hour block. Enjoy the commercials!:nono:
Sometimes interesting to see some perspective:http://www.marketwatch.com/story/directv-poised-to-gain-this-year-analyst-2011-01-14
They say it will have limited commercial interruptions. Of course, you are looking at the entire time period which they, like TCM, will fill even if the movie ends just after the half hour so the next advertised program can start on the hour.
I hope they have a bang-up year. Only by being successful will DirecTV give me what I want. You'd have to be a real hater of the company not to want them to do well. I mean, I want Dish to have a good year, too. Competition will keep DirecTV aggressive.
Who needs AMCHD when it's on BluRay......Klaatu barada nikto!
That is why I am surprised they do not offer a "sports premium" package that offers all of the league packs. It would make budgeting much easier to know my monthly bill was $xxx year round, than jump for ST, drop for 2 months, climb again over the summer (DirectKick), climb even higher for next year's ST before dropping again. I think I was billed 6 different amounts last year. I can't imagine what is like for guys that get ST/EI/CI. Your July/August and Novmber/December bills are probably double your February/March bills.
Give me a consistent year-round price, with a multi-package discount like they do with the premium package for movies, I'd sign up.
So dvr then ff the commercials....yea thats alot of work.
Off topic, but if anyone is interested, and if they haven't changed anything, if you purchase the remake on blu-ray (it's really worth a miss), the original is included on blu-ray, although, for some reason, they keep it a secret.
Canada has this, its like $29.99 a month for all of the sports packages.
It's not even close to what he's talking about, though.
why not go full Canada like with theme packs and being able to buy the box with no mirroring no DRV fees no outlet fees and no basic HD fees.
Having a super sports pack sounds like a good idea.
Perhaps they just don't think real movie people watch Adulterated Movie Classics because they can't stand to have all the bleeps watching out for their morals and chop chop for commercials. Take the bandwidth saved from the edited parts and use it to HD the remains of the once great movies they actually pass. No net loss for them.
Well, we do have 10 more new HD channels?
DirecTV PPV Cinema HD 1080p ch.141-151?
Was only channels 126 -141.
Don't kid yourself and believe it's about morals. It's about editing movies down to have them acceptable to the widest possible viewing audience and shoving as many commercials in as possible. AMC has a handful of good shows. Everything else is just a vehicle for ad space without regards to any kind of concern for the content in its original form.
We want AMC for their shows, Mad Men and Breaking Bad are 2 of my favorites.
Noticed something weird. The HUB, channel 294 is showing HD tags in the guide, but the channel itself is still 480i.
Noticed that too. Weird.
Nice catch. HD tags are still in the guide but channel is SD only.
i just noticed that about the hub too thats why i came on here hoping there was some good news about it being in hd. O well hopefully soon
Just sounds like bad guide data to me. Probably someone's on vacation.
