Agree, plus Reelz HD
CSN Houston, baby!
With the "freeview" offer from CSNH, I'm guessing (and hoping) that the infinitely arrogant Jim Crane has finally blinked (and is close to running out of cash), so we may finally reach some kind of reasonable agreement.
Now that Fox Soccer Channel will be gone bring back GOL TV HD, add ESPN DEPORTES HD, FOX DEPORTES HD.
I second that
It would be nice, but at this point, we do not even get Military History (from A&E Networks) in SD. I would like both the Military Channel (from Discovery Network, which we do have in SD) and Military History in HD (but not until after we get Universal Sports in HD
We need 24/7 HD feeds of all the channels on MHz Worldview. My affiliate is SD only.
Hore HD, drill sergeant! :smoking:
My OTA channel has them in HD.
When Universal Sport was available OTA it was not in HD. The channel had HD enable for some of the commercials would pop up in 16 x 9 format.
At this point, MHz Worldview is only available in 480i. If by "all the channels on MHz Worldview" you mean the original channels from which MHz Worldview draws its feeds, that would be 15 channels. I would not hold my breath for more than one or two of those.
Universal Sports has only been in HD since June of 2012. Neither Dish or DirecTV has it in HD, yet.
I look at APB101's list and I sort of think maybe it's time for D* to be moving priority back to the movie channels, basic and premium, too.
Oh, and of course whatever deals they can make on the Sports RSN's that they are willing to live with.
It's on a subchannel here and the resolution is much poorer than the Directv SD stations. The web feed is pretty bad also. I'd like to see it in HD as there are some pretty good international mystery programs and news.
My list is getting quite short:
The Outdoor Channel
Others have dropped off either because D* added them or because I reduced my programming package.
Do we have any confirmation of Military History existing in HD? It's been about 5 months since posts about it first appeared and A&E Networks still has nothing about it being available in HD in their tech and marketing info and just has the SD feed as an option in their launch forms. Maybe a case of someone confusing it with Military Channel HD who did launch an HD feed around the same time?
Why not? They're all free-to-air and there's plenty of space for them. I don't see the problem.
I looked at my area providers: DirecTV and Dish Network (nationwide) plus Comcast (franchise) and AT&T U-verse do not carry the linear high definition of Universal Sports.
My list isn't based on personal tastes.
The premiums of those Encore multiscreens stems from the contract reached between Starz Entertainment LLC and DirecTV, in April 2012, to expand carried programming.
To reiterate: The list (@ 335) isn't based on my personal tastes; it's addressing what I believe are on the radar, like with Style Network HD, for what may get added by DirecTV before the launch of D14 in 2014.
There many channels that DirecTV SHOULD add, HD or SD. I have been requesting HRTV for a very long time, yet it still is not available. Why DirecTV is so unwilling to add the channels that their customers ask for is beyond my comprehension. DirecTV SHOULD also add CNN International, BBC World, and MAV TV.
chiller HD seems to be in the same place (a few small systems have it in HD) I think some said that by putting the right zip code in to there web site lists a HD channel.
