Closer to 25 percent of the country combine for the Pacific and Mountain time zones. (Factor Alaska and Hawaii in their separate time zones.) Approximately 75 percent combine for Central and Eastern time zones. Which helps to better understand the default of basic-cable programming, on the national scales of both Dish Network and DirecTV, to the east-coast feeds.

The west coast feeds of Disney, Toon and Nick are SD on the 101, what space are you really saving that has anything to do with Mpeg4 HD?

EPIX HD does have a east and west feed.

as for 6xx Comcast Philadelphia HD it may have space saved for it or they can just take down a PPV HD slot. Also may need TCN Philly full time SD / HD or maybe full time SD game only HD.

But if there is a fox sports Philly TCN may die or go part time only and Dish and directv likely will add it as well at maybe pushing the cost for CSN Philly down.

will also want Chiller HD and others over Esquire HD or HSN / QVC.

    you forgot SEC network.

may also need to have space for WWE network (premium channel).

Fox Soccer Plus HD or will happen to it needing a full time HD slot.

ESPN goal line HD / buzzer better HD part time

ESPN 3 HD part time feeds?

There's no RSN that has a MPEG4 only primary market. Out of the missing and future RSNs that carry major league sports:
CSN Houston - Houston SD 101
    CSN/TCN Philly - Philadelphia SD 101
CSN Northwest - Portland SD 101
TWC Dodgers - Los Angeles SD 101

As for the other ones that are mostly college and minor league sports:
Cox Sports - New Orleans SD 119
CSS - serves multiple markets in the southeast
    Longhorn - Austin SD 101
SEC Network - will serve multiple markets in the SEC territory
Pac 12 - serves multiple markets, if DirecTV were to carry them, I doubt any of their regional feeds will be available in SD unless they schedule it so at a given time no more than 3 regional feeds are in use, but it will be really in for a crunch during the month where NHL, NBA and MLB overlap and nearly every RSN alternate is in use.

Just can't see myself watching MAVTV unless it's in HD. Hopefully, the HD version follows shortly.

I agree. I can't believe networks are still sending out SD signals. Unless D* is taking the HD signal and sending it out as SD.

Agreed. I would think they would get more eyes watching if it was in HD.

I still think NBCU missed a chance to get better HD distribution, had they added some upcoming EPL matches to Universal Sports.

I wonder if that did not happen since NBCU does not own 100% of the channel.

Does anyone know about the Fox networks and FXX? I thought they were rebranding FX to that but I found out it's going to be a new channel. They are moving a lot of my favorite shows to it.
