Must be an East coast brand. We never had them in California. I did see Sinclair when I was visiting relatives in Maryland.

Used to be national years and years ago. Now they are hq'd in Utah and exist in the west and Midwest.

I am assuming that Speed will simply become Fox Sports One and remain in HD.

Hopefully FXX's September launch includes an HD feed as well.

FXX is replacing Fox Soccer, which is already available in HD.

I'm going to assume nothing will be happening, in the way of HD, for a little while now. The third quarter of 2013 is apparently one in which we'll get something in the way of more HD. I figure most of what will get added comes from the category of basic-cable programming. At what point in the third quarter of 2013 will new HD arrive? That is the question.

    I am anticipating:
    233 GSN HD
    235 Style Network HD
    294 The Hub HD

I am open to more from basic-cable programming but am also considering those from regional sports who aren't carried at all. (Like with Comcast SportsNet Houston HD.) I'm also considering multi-regional sports thus far without carriage on DirecTV. (Particularly standing out, especially since it is available from rival Dish Network, is Pac-12 Network HD.) I do consider the April 2012 contract to expand Starz/Encore programming between Starz Entertainment LLC and DirecTV. (IndiePlex and RetroPlex are available in linear high definition. And we do not yet the have the HD for Encore Drama.) And I consider any curveballs from programming few us may anticipate. (Prior to the June 10 addition of MavTV, only in SD, I didn't think MavTV was on the radar…period.)

FX Movie channel is what I want more than anything at this point. Other family members want The Hub and Discovery fit & health.

Discovery Fit and Health has no HD feed. As of now the only Discovery channels with HD feeds that we're missing is The Military Channel and The Hub.

I want whatever channels will be needed by the NBC sports pack for all of the Barclays Premier League matches this fall. That starts very soon.

You know what you should do to get HD channels? Go to Facebook & ask for HD channels in the DirecTV page and ask!

I just don't understand why GSN has yet to be added in HD compared to "lesser" networks. It's been a top 40 rated cable channel for a couple of years ago, has many originals [and new acquisitions] that are produced in high-def, plus DirecTV has been part owner for quite a while.

Sixto will only say something when he notices changes. Other then that, he really doesn't know a whole lot more then most of us. Okay, he may get a little tidbit of inside info from DirecTV employees he knows, but he isn't allowed to say anything about it until either DirecTV announces it, or his little setup of tools and technology reveals information.

So far, it has been a great year for HD on DirecTV. We have scraped most of the bottom of the barrel, and what is left are stations that aren't very popular.... and maybe more importantly: Nothing that would cause customers to change service. The big things happening are channel name changes and format changes, but those channels are most likely going to stay in place as HD.
