Directv did say that they would not be carrying 7 channels for the Pac-12 although they didn't say how many they would carry.

HD anticipation...?? with the Viacom channels gone (love em or despise them) the topic should be HD subtraction.

You can receive Fargo channels in Pembina? (Yes, I've been to Pembina before, and not just driving thru --that's where I was going).

How about we leave the Viacom stuff to the Viacom thread?

Agree, get back to TCM HD discussion and future HD additions. BTW, I hope Directv doesn't give in to Viacom. Call their bluff.

    Spied by Sixto this morning:

    Part-time Changes: NEW (added/moved) from 2012-07-11 compared to 2012-07-06:
    701 *OCX HD PT D11 6 1700
    702 *OCH HD PT D10 10 1700
    703 *OCH HD PT D11 2 1700
    704 *OCH HD PT D11 2 1700
    705 *OCH HD PT D11 2 1700

Yes, the spot beam for the Fargo SD locals is quite large and covers all of eastern ND, western Minn. northern SD. and even half of Mb. in Canada. The spot beam eminates from D7S at 119 degrees. Not sure which bird the HD locals will eventually come from.

4 seems low for the Olympics

less it's 2 NBC network feeds + soccer + basketball.

With the remaps not in the list yet.

I thought I read they where going to use four or five of their channels plus online streaming and try and make very event available live plus a nightly recap on NBC this year. Could be the only good thing about Comcast getting a it's hands on NBC.

NBC. Cnbc. Msnbc and NBC sports. I think.

I could easily see TCM-HD becoming my default background television; I'm an old fart, love movies and hate dealing with an over-abundance of commercial breaks.

Hearing that it's likely to be coming soon has me happy as can be. Exit stage left.

DirecTV bringing in Turner Classic Movies HD should be no big deal. Not a complex thing. Should have happened a couple years ago. So, I'm glad it's finally arriving.
