    2 cents supposition.
Maybe they were testing for the last two weeks for the "true" TMCHD and not the up converted TMC SD.

I'm glad for the addition of Turner Classic Movies HD. I'm up early for it. Plus, the Emmy nominations are coming out today (at 8:30 a.m. ET; should be covered on network morning-news programs, perhaps CNN, and typically E!). And, this early in the day, the weather outside isn't too bad  .

One of the greatest in my opinion. Hepburn, Streep and Stanwyck, not necessarily in that order.

TCM looks great. I never watched this channel before but I'll watch it just to see Hollywood legend in their prime.

I was watching a black and white movie from 1932 this morning and I can't say that I saw a huge difference. Maybe 20 percent better picture?

Keep in mind many films from that era have yet to be remastered.

Big improvement with very old material that is not very clean. Can't wait to see the widescreen, later stuff as well.

What time did it go live? I was up at 5:30 and checked before I left and it still wasn't in the guide. Oh and just a heads up... Citizen Kane is on tonight.

^ ...with the Errol Flynn version of Robin Hood on just before it. I have them both set to record.

To my eye, The Adventures of Robin Hood, along with The Wizard of Oz, defined how good Technicolor could get.

Great! I always liked that version. Got to set a timer!

TCM wasn't on my list of what I wanted in HD 'cause they don't actually do HD, but I'm glad to see it anyway.
