After doctor who, the only SD series I watch are Hot in Cleveland et al.
Thank you for the info.
Found out that 4 seasons of Sarah Jane are on Amazon Prime. There were five.
In the classic series Time Lords only had 10 regenerations. Haven't figured out how they have gotten passed that one. The master had used all 10 of his and at one point I thought he was stealing bodies to live.
The daleks and the cybermen were much stronger in the classics. The way the cybermen march around is a joke.
12 regenerations, actually. For 13 doctors. The current doctor is the 11th.
The Valeyard was supposed to be the doctor after 13.
He stole at least two bodies in the old series and the Fox movie. He was revived by the Timelords in the new series.
With season 2 of the hour coming this fall I think there's a good chance they'll rerun season 1.
I've seen the first couple of seasons of Sarah Jane. It's a fun show, but definitely written for the younger, tween audience. It was sad to hear that Elizabeth Sladen had died. She'd also done a pilot for a spin-off in the 80s with her and K-9 solving mysteries. It's rare, but if you look in the right places you can find it.
As for Doctor Who, along with the Blink episode, the gas mask episode ("are you my mummie?") is a classic. Scary good stuff from season 1.
12 that explains it. 30+ years is along time to remember.
I am a geek. And a deep Whovian.
Sixto hasn't chimed in....
He did in another thread. And why should he until the test channel is up.
remember about a month or so ago, sixto alerted to us he saw some un named HD'S in test?? then the board here lit up with possibilities on what those slots could be?? wonder if they're secret decoding tests so as not to alert anyone. I could be wrong but anyone remember that a while back?
They were all just labeled *DTV I think. But yeah could be anything.
Maybe the ink wasnt dry and still pretty fresh and the tests went up in secret for BBCA & NGW..and for the sixto's of the world and the rest of us leaving us to say...hmmmm???
More likely testing of new balancing of channels for six on a transponder.
and what a coincidence that BBCA & NGW HD is on the horizon !!
I posted earlier. When new tech solved the bandwidth problem, they would add more HD. The new encoders are the new tech. Allows them six on a transponder but probably not linearly. As SR stated earlier, not all channels are equal in bandwidth needs.
This keeps coming up. They used those slots.
They were on D12, transponders 9 & 10, and they weren't being used previously. They now have 12 channels, when they did the re-arrangement shortly afterwards.
BBCA has disappeared from the Android app.
Ditto for Ion East.
