    Wait....aren't these all basic programming?

Also, no Audience Channel. No Cartoon HD. There are a couple. But Fios *does* have Wealth TV.

But why not go with Dish and have Yankees and the Basic HD you want?

Yeah, those are included with the most basic of basic Choice package. You can't really count them as "channels" though as they are only seasonal/temporary.

It also brings its own set of problems with it: My mother-in-law LOVES tennis, and has.... cable. Guess where she was a lot last week (Wimbledon), driving my wife crazy in the morning? :D :D

No, that is why I used the word programming.

Gee, all of those are something I *don't* pay for that are *not* in my contract. Hmm, seems DirecTV *does* give us something we are not "entitled to" afterall.

    :)

(Actually, sometimes I forget this stuff, taking it for granted. One night a while back, I went through my Fios lineup to see how I would make out if I no longer had access to DirecTV. I would be okay, but would miss out on a lot of things I take for granted now. And I mean programming, not just gadgets like MRV and the like. But, wow, I would be able to watch AMC in HD....not something I do now even though I have access to it.)

Why would anyone want to photoshop that? I'm still jumping on you, simply because there is no way that anyone would go through that trouble and photoshop a flier like that just to stir up a few dozen forum members.

I am going to come over to the Dish forum and post that I hope that Dish loses channels.

How is your post not trolling? Explain that and I will not hit the report button on it.

That because football is fair with a salary cap so small markets like green bay, indy, new orleans can, you know, like actually win.

Unlike baseball where the yankees have a $200 million payroll compared to some teams with $40 million....yea thats fair.

Funny thing is the yankees still choke & cant win. :D

Very off topic, but anyone can win in either sport. Both require management to understand what they are doing. The issue with the Yankees is that they have money AND understand what they need to do (the Red Sox for years had money but had no clue; that changed a few years back). But money alone cannot fix everything. Look at the Mets in baseball or the Bengals in football.

Do you subscribe to HBO and Cinemax? It may very well be they do selective marketing, and only actual subscribers to HBO or Cinemax will actually get those fliers. Having actually worked in the billing industry for a company that prints bills, I know it is very possible to have different inserts in different groups of bills - and that happens all the time, based on services you already have, or not have.

For instance, I don't have U-Verse TV, but my bill for U-Verse Internet always has a flier inserted that wants me to buy U-Verse TV from them. When I still had cable (TV and Internet) I would always get a flier for their telephone service with their bill.

I think you are jumping the gun here, if someone was going to make a claim with a date and channel list, they would make a big claim like AMC HD or something. If it was their intention to mess with a forum, why photoshop in channels that already have an incredible likely hood of being added, as they are among the channels already promised in 2007, and we just had 2 batches of HBO and Cinemax in the last 3 months?

I don't receive any paper bills, so I don't get the flier anyways.... however, I am subscribed to HBO.

Well... I guess the 27th will give us the answer. Or right before via Sixto's report.

I'm still not discounting it as an absolute impossibility that these channels will be added.

Because YOUR ad didn't have it in, the original was a hoax? Really? Isn't that like saying that a preprinted baseball ticket looks different than one downloaded and printed on a home computer, so the preprinted one is a hoax? Who the heck said all flyers were the same across the country on the same day?

Probably should walk that one back a bit just in case Satelliteracer comes in and says it is true at some point. I have no idea if it is or not.

It is not a terrible analogy at all. They could make the home tickets look like the preprinted ones but they do not.

Why do they all need to be the same? Millions of these things go out every month. They may not print them at the same time. We see flyers in newspapers be different from region to region when selling the same thing from DirecTV.

You are assuming something to say you PROVED it is a hoax. You are assuming you know that all the flyers are the same. You have no proof of that.

Edit to add: Oh, also that it wasn't a mistake by DirecTV. Immediately *has* to be a hoax. Nice judicial work there, Kid.
