    No.

    No.

Who said anything about before? More like "while" actually. They have already added many channels this year and more to come.

Imagine for a moment that every single member here and at the other forum was complaining about the same things as you. Even if every single member here were a DirecTV customer (which isn't the case since many are non-DBS customers or are Dish customers), they would only account for about 0.45% of the total number of DirecTV customers. Even if you combine the total membership of this forum and "the other forum" (again imagining that every member on both sites is a DirecTV customer)...we're only talking about 1.3%.

    There is your extreme minority.

...the HD leader which has 44 more HD channels than the only other satellite TV provider in the country. Yes, a few more soon. Even more after that. Not to mention other services and features coming soon that Satelliteracer has said will be very exciting.

Must be nice to have all the answers. You should be on their payroll. Betcha look cute in your cheerleading outfit! Go Directv!

In all seriousness...I do enjoy my Directv service. Just frustrated at this time with their lack of new HD channels that's all.
Just wish I could voice my opinion here without constantly being corrected!

You ask for numbers, but you don't want to be challenged when you make an inane statement like the one you made below.

<<<I am sure there is much more going into these decisions than any of us are aware of.>>>

    Really??? Give us some evidence.

Your hypocrisy continues to astound me. Above is one example. Below is a bigger one.

You sit here and chew on Dish subs who have the temerity to post here.
Yet, since Wednesday, you have made over 30 posts in one thread - on the Dish forum.
Please explain why it is a crime for Dish subs to post here, while you flaunt your condescension over there?

What you fail to understand here is our desire to simply get the most for our money. I'd never switch to Dish, but does that mean I cannot have some measure of dissatisfaction with the the level of service and the number of channels I receive?

Is it not legitimate to question the strategy of our provider when they spend millions on the launch of a new satellite and then not use the capacity?

Is it wrong to criticize D* for being complacent now, when - with Dish's elimination of many channels - is the exact time to be aggressive? There is market share to be gained by seizing on Dish's ill considered moves.

Yet, with no proof at all, you sit here saying all is well.

    It is not.

This is a critical juncture in D's history with Dish's backtracking, combined with the arrival of new platforms attacking the pay television model.

We know you love D*. We know you hate Dish.
Why don't you just ask the mods for your own sticky thread where you can vent your spleen once instead of forcing us to read your arrogant blather every 6 posts?

    Cheers.

So true. Around here, you'd think BBCA was one of the most popular channels. You'd think amc was wayyyyy more popular than TBS. Neither are true in reality. Heck, on the Dish side you'd think hardly anyone watches FX, yet it was 2009 10th highest cable network. Most members here are great, but we don't represent the whole.

Why is that , in a customer forum, people like Sigma and Hoosier always defend the provider and never the customer (us) ? Sigma avatar even suggests we should not get AMC and BBC in HD. Shouldn't we change the thread title to something like "Directv, we have enough HD channels, please give us more PPV" ?

Polls done here. Topics of discussions...When's the last time a topic was started about shows on Lifetime, TBS, or Disney? BBCA & amc have tons of topics here, yet Lifetime, TBS, & Disney all get higher ratings. This shows how we're the extreme minority.

Whatever! Stuart please give Satracer his own sticky thread so I no longer need to read or participate in this BS thread. It used to be enjoyable to read and participate. But some people like Sigma and Hoosier have taken the fun out of this thread! See ya!

I never once personally attacked you or anyone else in discussions with name calling. I presented legitimate evidence to you & others that you & others weren't in agreement. I'm sorry you can't have a mature discussion.

    Hi Sigma.
I have no issue with you.
You make your points very clearly.

What kills me is "The Governor" saying the same things over and over and over.

"I trust D*. They know what they are doing".
"We have more channels than they do."

According to "The Governor", this is the anticipation thread. Yet he spews at anyone who "anticipates". And complaining is, indeed, half of anticipation.

He adds no value to the discussion, yet insists on replying to practically every post.

"The Governor" needs his own governor.

By the way, all I want is:

    FS+ full time
All the premium movie channels we're missing.
    TMC
    History International

Opinions can and should be discussed but given this forum is a consumer forum they should be from the customer point of view. Your comments are always to defend Directv at any cost, you always find a reason why something we the costumers want is not duable or reasonable. If you are employed by Directv, that's fine but you are a customer like any other, aren't you ?
